Ibrahim Ahmed III Brings “just a little” Color To Newark’s Walls

If you live in Newark or frequent the area, you have watched City Without Wall's City Mural Program (in collaboration with others) blossom throughout the last couple years. Murals by Newark artists Gladus Grauer, Kevin Darmanie, Jerry Gant, Matthew Gosser and Kevin Samson (just to name a few) have brightened up walls throughout the City of Newark. A recent addition by emerging artist Ibrahim Ahmed now canvases the side of the Downtown arts space, The Academy St. Fire House.

"The Gantalist," a documentary that just recently premiered, is traveling up North, The Newark Museum is about to kick off a summer long film fest and a local creative group is raising funds for roof top video installations and performance art.

Back then he was doing large dream-like portraits that would have sayings like "DETOX THE MIND", "LAST NIGHT I KISSED AN ANGEL", and "WILL WORK FOR LOVE".
