#WarmItUpKane

I arrived just as the featured performer stepped onto the stage. He was greeted with respectful yelps and hoorays. Newark, NJ has always had a strong, but informal network of intellectual and creative LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community members – whether it is the professionals that lead within the government and social services or the artists: designers, dancers, choreographers and poets --- it is clear we are strong threads in the weave of this dynamic city!
