Poppin Up Downtown

Planned Parenthood, NJPAC and Glocally Newark have come together to present to you, Newark for Rent. Yesterday at 4pm, performers from the NJPAC production of RENT sang tunes outside the 239 Collective space. This is the first of a few guerilla performances that will be poppin up all over Downtown Newark. Developer Baye Adofo-Wilson's latest project in Newark is a "green," a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified collection of affordable one-, two- and three-bedroom rentals produced, in part, with local labor trained in sustainable energy - 66 homes at four locations in the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District in Newark.
