LIVE from Elbow Room

Hey Newarkers! Elbow Room joined the ranks of  Halsey Street eateries just 1 month ago and today I am thrilled to bring you coverage of it’s grand opening featuring Live with Kelly & Michael host Michael Strahand, Cory Booker, and many more! Stay tuned for the play by play.

The Ladies of Elbow Room

The ladies of Elbow Room including Manager Mandy (right) and server Marilyn (left) were busy filling orders for nearly 100 guests. The menu included my favorites Lobster Macaroni Salad & Chicken Tinga as well as today’s special Meatball Parmesan! This is delicious! Should definitely be added to the menu.

Michael Strahan & Mayor Cory Booker smile for the camera before the start of the press conference. Strahan said he is a fan of Newark & Mayor Booker.

Owner Joel explains that Elbow Room presents customers with all the comfort foods they love but with a mac n cheese foundation!

If you haven’t been to Elbow Room you should know that this isn’t your grandma’s mac n cheese. Most of Elbow Room’s mac n cheese dishes come with amazing ingredients and toppings all fresh, all seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. I’m talking about things like savory beef, tender white meat chicken, and succulant mushroom.

Justin Tuck talks with Channel 4 about his love of comfort food and growing up in south! He’s glad to have some good ‘ol mac n cheese close to home.

Cory Booker throwing down! My Mayor is a vegetarian so he had a salad along side the Vegan Mac N Cheese Queso Fundido. He said it was “Fantastico!’”

  1. [...] In our styling, we’ve included countless strands of pearls, which mimic the geometry of the patterned blouse to give the impression that the blazer can barely restrain the bubbly activity bursting out from beneath. It’s a playful pairing, to be sure, but that’s a risk that easier to take when one is sporting such a tasteful, traditional hue and cut. We imagine that the ensemble is perfect for the lady that yearns to be the best dressed parent at PTA meetings, the most flawless member of a mayoral commission or the most no-nonesense fashionista in the pews of New Hope Baptist. Of course, should you go for the more casual aesthetic, you can easily pair the top with a skinny jeans and a pump to make a splash at The Elbow Room. [...]
