Yesterday, Joe Crab Shack officially open, to a long line of hungry customers, waiting for its long anticipated arrival. More importantly, Joe’s Crab Shack offered the first 100 customers crabs for one year (as was reported yesterday by Glocally). The ribbon cutting was cut by the 1st customer.
The line wrapped around the corner, while each guest hoped that they would be one of the lucky customers. One such lucky customer was Luis, a long time resident of Newark. In addition to his once a month treat of food from the Crab Shack, he also received several Prudential game tickets.
Others wanted to be first in line, and began setting up lounge seats at 5 p.m. the day before to insure their place on the promotion. Interesting this gentlemen can be found at many opening throughout the county.
At the opening we had an opportunity to meet the president of Joe Crab Shack, Jim Mazany, “We are proud to be in Newark. To be apart of the redevelopment of this great city. We are excited to be apart of the transformation occuring. We are very excited to be here, and extremely appreciative of the customers and fans of our food. We see this stores as with our Harlem store we opened months earlier as being apart of new vibrant community rebuilding its self. We wanted to be apart of this. Our Daytona Beach Florida similar, its now one our most visited stores today.. We see great potential for this store and look forward to a long tenure here”. Accompanying Mr. Mazany was his Regional Vice President, Dale Broach, who will be the guy in charge of executing the Crab Shack strategy. ”We could not be more proud of the opening, our staff, and the community. We are excited to be here, and look forward to serving all the newark residents and visitors to this store”.
Let us not forget the food, it was all smiles from the customers enjoying their first taste Joe’s great seafoods and quenching drinks. Without disturbing folks getting their crub on here is several month watering images.
Look forward to cracking some Crab legs.
