FINALLY ITS HERE! Sept. 10 opening of Joe’s Crab Shack, which brings its Southern flair and fresh seafood to its new location at the Courtyard Newark Downtown-Marriott.
The new Joe’s Crab Shack at 860 Broad Street will officially open at 11 a.m., but fans will be lining up well beforehand to stake their claim in line to be one of the first 100 guests and win free crab for a year. All guests on opening day can enter to win a prize like no other – free crab for LIFE.

Guests can participate in Joe’s fundraiser for No Kid Hungry by purchasing coupons for free kid’s meals, appetizers and entrees in exchange for charitable donations to the organization. For every $1 donation, guests receive a free kid’s meal; with a $5 donation, a free appetizer; and with a $10 donation, a free snow or queen crab bucket.
The Joe’s Crab Shack “100% Shore” menu offers Southern flavors and spices that add a delicious, unexpected twist to fresh seafood from the highest quality sources. Menu standards include Steampots, seafood entrees and mouth-watering crab dishes featuring Dungeness, snow and king crab. The Newark location will also offer the new Coastal Comfort menu, including the Southern Fried Maine Lobster, BBQ Dungeness Crab, Shrimp and Cheddar Grits and the Ragin’ Cajun Steampot, along with the new Outlaw Moonshine cocktails. The new Joe’s Crab Shack can accommodate 178 guests and will employ 140 locally hired team members; each determined that every guest will enjoy a fun, unique and always-delicious dining experience.
