Brick City Development Corporation (BCDC) has partnered with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to host the British Consulate General at our Converge Pop-up Co-working Tech Space in the City of Newark. Information about the GREAT Tech awards program, which UKTI has launched, will be presented by Consul General Danny Lopez at the afternoon reception.
About GREAT Tech Awards
The awards encourage high growth technology companies in the US to select the UK as a place where they can set up and grow their businesses. The competition is run by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the British Consulate General New York.The competition is open to US technology companies headquartered in one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Companies can apply in one of the following award categories: education, finance, health, internet of things, lifestyle, and media. Details about the application process for the Great Tech Awards will be discussed. Additionally, Consul General Lopez and other members of the British Consulate General will network with tech companies and other guests. This is the second annual GREAT Tech Awards hosted by UKTI and the British Consulate General New York. The GREAT Tech Awards facilitates international business development by helping high-growth businesses in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania to reach international markets, and creates the connections needed for high-growth companies in the United Kingdom to discover the benefits of locating their businesses in cities such as Newark, NJ.
The event is open to press.
