The Alliance for Digital Equality

The Alliance for Digital Equality "strives to act as a bridge between policymakers in Washington and underserved communities on forming legislation that helps to bring new technology, such as high-speed Internet, to all Americans." The Alliance made Newark, NJ a stop on their nationwide tour…in place of New York City. The Summit was hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. It was a full-scale production – with interviews taking place in the ballroom between Panel discussions, and continuous discussions taking place just outside at another setup. Our next question would be how this will translate into a business model – or if the local government will simply start by implementing some sort of wi-fi “hotpsot” access to Newarkers?
