Go on in. You'll be glad you did.
When I walked in to Robert’s I didn’t recall any specifics of the above comment aside from KC vouching for the place. My initial reaction echoed KC’s in regards to the decor, ditto the topping selection and size of the slice. Basically, KC and I are sharing a brain on this one.

- A very friendly, spring-like decor…
The owner asked me why I was taking photos of his pizza and I told him I was an artist. He turned to my friend and asked, “Is he full of shit?”

Big. Cheesy. Goodness.
Jack Miller and I proceeded to chat for a few minutes, mostly about New York Yankees, a team I couldn’t like any less and one he has been a partial season ticket plan holder for 8 years. One thing we agreed upon was the Bronx Bombers’ unmitigated greed in gouging the fans for every penny they’ve got. Fortunately for Jack, he’s a nice guy with a great slice of pizza in his arsenal, so he should be doing just fine. I know I’ll be dropping $2 into his pockets from time to time for him to sate his baseball fix.
Meanwhile, on weekdays, from 4-8 PM, Robert’s has a $9 delivery special on large pies. I recommend you take them up on the offer. Or at least go in and grab a slice, or one of their other Italian specialties (lasagna, chicekn parm, baked ziti, etc). Like their slogan says, you’ll get “Mo fo’ yo’ dough.” That’s a great tagline, and almost as cheesy as the pizza itself.

Great queston, john! I should’ve asked him that. I’m sure I’ll be back, though, so that won’t be a problem.

That usually happens when the founder/namesake sells his business and the new owners keep the name because it has a good reputation (like Rutt’s Hut in Clifton, now owned by someone named Karagiorgis).

Typically don’t travel around University but I did for this pizza. Not disappointed. Thanks, Q!
