This annual holiday shopping celebration runs until Sunday, November 22.  All Museum merchandise will be discounted 20 percent. Get in the holiday spirit as you spend some time in the Museum’s Shops known for their unique gift items including jewelry, fashion accessories, clothing, books, decorative objects, ornaments, holiday cards, calendars, pottery and toys.

Shopping hours during the spree are Thursday noon to 8 p.m. with a special holiday happy hour from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday; Friday noon to 6 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Why not purchase something that is fashioned after a treasure from the Newark Museum’s own collection?

Many of the gifts featured in the Holiday Shopping Spree are inspired from the Newark Museum’s permanent collections and featured exhibitions, including 100 Masterpieces of Art Pottery, 1880-1930 and Unbounded: New Art for a New Century.

Need a gift for the perfect hostess on your list?

Besides the extensive selection of accessories and fashions, shoppers can purchase gift certificates and gift memberships to The Newark Museum. Free holiday gift-wrap is also available and purchases are subject to a 3.5 percent sales tax.

The Newark Museum is located on 49 Washington Street.

Oh sweet. I’ll have to check it out tomorrow afternoon. Wish I knew a little earlier about the happy hour though…

I think giving or receiving an Amazon Gift Card is the best gift of all. It is so easy to shop online and there is no limit to the choices of purchases. You can’t loose giving this as a present to anyone.
