Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts? Put that stuff aside this moring and head down to Lafayette St. to partake in the introduction of Newark’s new-bean house BRICK CITY COFFEE COMPANY.

BRICK CITY COFFEE COMPANY INVITES NEWARK TO CELEBRATE ITS GRAND OPENING

On Thursday, October 22nd at 11:15AM, Brick City Coffee Company will officially celebrate its grand opening with Newark’s Mayor Cory A. Booker, Chairman and Managing Partner of Devils Arena Entertainment (DAE) Jeff Vanderbeek, Vice Chairman of DAE Mike Gilfillan and COO of Newark Downtown Core Redevelopment Corporation Bill Crawley as they welcome this small business to Newark’s growing retail landscape. For that day only, Brick City Coffee Company will offer their signature lattes and mochas at a special customer appreciation price of $1 as well as provide free pastry samples.

Located on the ground level of Prudential Center’s Ford Lincoln Mercury VIP Parking Deck on Lafayette Street, Brick City Coffee is the latest in a number of new developments to Newark’s Prudential Center. Serving up coffee shop fare with a New Jersey twist, Brick City Coffee showcases premium coffee as well as high quality baked goods from Balthazar Bakery in Englewood, N.J. and Pechter’s Baking in Harrison, N.J. Truly a citizen of the city, Brick City Coffee Company features the Newark skyline in its logo and employs 15 workers who are either residents or students in Newark.

    Finally snagged some tees. Love the yogurt muffin – it’s more a cross between an almond brioche and a pudding cake, even if there’s yogurt in there somewhere! And can anyone beat free parking?
