Sheena She @ Halsey St.

This week at the Halsey St.  Block Party, the Glocally Newark booth will be graced by guest blogger, Sheena She! Sheena She is the creator of  Chainsaws and Jelly, the winning blog of the 2009 World Series on The Battle of the Blogs!

I did a short interview with Sheena She… but if  you have any more questions, come meet her on Thursday.

1. Where did your passion for blogging come from?

My passion came from when I was a bored and dorky teenager.  Coming from a strict, Filipino household, I spent my days indoors: daydreaming, reading books, writing and surfing the internet.  It first started with a DeadJournal back then. Whatever interested me, I wanted to share with the world!

2. What is your favorite thing about social networking?

My favorite thing would definitely be meeting all types of wonderful and amazing people that share the same (or not the same) interest.  In the end, it’s a small world after all!

3. Favorite social networking tool?

Hands down, Twitter.  It’s a big chat room and you will be surprised if used correctly you will get traffic onto your site.

4. Favorite blog you have ever written… and url?

My favorite would be all the Polite Conversations!  I don’t have a specific favorite because each one of the conversations hold a special meaning to me.  These are people that inspire me and the rest of the internet universe!  Just check out www.chainsawsandjelly.com and if you enter “polite conversations” in the search bar, you’ll see that each individual has something special to offer.

5. What is Sheena She working on now…

Right now I’m working on another special event.  This time it’s a party AND a food/coat drive for Daniel Joseph’s Pretty/Ugly album which drops November 3rd.  The event will be in Newark at the Seed Gallery,  since he’s from this great city!  The event takes place Saturday, November 7th at 8pm.  Please bring canned foo and/or coat to help support people in need during the harsh, winter months.  Please tell a friend of a friend and come out and enjoy!

I also have a few side make-up jobs and a few more Polite Conversations coming your way! Please continue reading Chainsaws and Jelly for more awesome eye candies!
