Don is the music, arts and youth outreach coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, but he’s also the CEO of Denotes Entertainment. “We develop artists from Newark from age 9 to 30. We are working on developing a nonprofit music label where all the artists benefit from the profits. We have 30 kids in the program: 15 are performers and 15 are behind the scenes.” Denotes is producing 50,000 copies of a CD produced by the kids. The profits of all CDs sold will go back to the kids. Don says, “The great thing is that we have Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings working together. Subliminally joining hands.” Contact Don at denoteslyrics@yahoo.com.
