I would like to know whose concept between BCDC,GBDD,Prudential and several other investors was it to try to create a smaller scale of Manhattan with “contests” for a launch party to events that have been occcuring in this area before Glocally popped up a year ago? There are several local events that this publication misses but, then again it’s not promoted to the residents of the Central Ward but,to those commuters who run from the high cost of living in the city to NJ and investors who don’t venture past Prudential Center.I would love to see the renovation of the HISTORICAL landmark-Symphony Hall; The African-American Museum on MLK Blvd.at another historical landmark launched; renovation to Lincoln Park (3 years a free music festival but, no benches, swingsets, playground,etc.)-and there are 3 schools in that area.Please TRY asking the residents here about ALL community events and include THEM not a select few.

WHOA! OMG! Vibe,NJPAC, GNVB…wow…Dika..this is awesome! GlocallyNewark is really taking off! And remeber GlocallyNewark.com is fairly new….if I’m not mistaken, its 5 months young! Newark is small but huge and still have various events that need to be covered. So get involved, become a blogger or send heads up about events at tips@glocallynewark.com! Great way to create a buzz. People need to know what Newark has to offer. I was only a resident for a short time, but Newark always has a way of drawing me back!
