Wednesday Night! Welcome to Kilkenny Alehouse’s College Night!

11 pm is the beginning of absolute chaos. The doors open with a flood of young people that fill the pub in a matter of minutes. Welcome to Kilkenny Alehouse’s College Night!

“The daytime customers have no clue what happens here late night on a Wednesday,” Rob Swenson, Kilkenny Alehouse daytime bartender says laughing.

It honestly feels like a club. From the moment you enter the front door, you are pushing through a massive crowd to stand 5 or 6 deep at the bar to get a drink. DJ Verro – Kilkenny’s resident dj is ampting the crowd with a combo of house, hip-hop and top 40 beats. Bartenders Addie Torres and Trent Turner work the crowd with a smile, dishing out loads of drink specials. The back room is filled wall to wall with students dancing and playing the timeless college sport of beerpong. Needless to say, Wednesday nights are a damn good time!

“Kilkenny College night is one of a kind. It’s a time when Newark comes alive with students that need a midweek break. You wouldn’t think it was a Wednesday when you see how packed and crazy this night gets!”
- Jill Nguyen (Wednesday Night Guest Bartender)
